A Fresh Take on Railing Design
The KeyLink American Horizontal Rod-Rail Collection moves away from the standard vertical baluster look by using heavy-duty 3/4" round horizontal rods that run side-to-side across the railing section. The result is a clean, open sightline that feels contemporary and intentional; similar to cable railing in appearance, but at a lower price point and with a simpler installation process.
This is rod rails done right: strong, good-looking, and built to last.
Why Choose the KeyLink Rod-Rail System
There are a lot of railing options on the market, but the keylink rod-rail collection stands out for a few reasons:
- Horizontal rod design: The 3/4" round rods create an open, unobstructed view that works especially well on decks with scenic surroundings or modern architecture.
- Guard railing classification: This isn't just a decorative system. The keylink rod-rail series is engineered to meet the requirements of a true "Guard" railing, so it holds up to safety standards without question.
- Compatible with KeyLink American Series posts: The system integrates with both 2.5" and 3.25" American Series posts, and works with surface mount and fascia mount configurations.
- Textured Black powder coat finish: A durable, weather-resistant finish that holds its color over time without fading or peeling.
Convenient all-in-one kits: Rail kits are available in 6' and 8' lengths for both level and stair applications, so you're not piecing together components from multiple sources.
Gate Options Available
For decks that need controlled access points, the keylink rod-rail collection includes a matching gate kit. It's a detail that's easy to overlook during the planning phase, so it's worth factoring in early if your layout requires one.
ADA Handrail Compatible
If your project requires ADA-compliant handrailing, KeyLink's straight aluminum handrail and mounting hardware pair well with the rod-rail system. We can help you spec that out alongside the rest of your railing materials.
